Melissa E. Weidner was appointed Director of Music in August 2007. Her credentials include a bachelor's degree in music theory from the University of Oregon and a master's degree in sacred music from The Catholic University of America.


Weidner has participated in organ master classes with William Porter, Wolfgang Zerer, Carole Terry, and Adrian Lucas. Private instructors in organ include Barbara Baird and Robert Grogan. Conducting studies were under Shannon Chase, Leo Nestor, Edward Moore, and Fr. Robert Skeris.

For the past nine years, Weidner has been directing parish choral ensembles.  Before coming to Denver, she served at
parishes in California, Oregon, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. 

In her free time, she is a carillon recitalist, and may be heard playing the 65-bell Williams Carillon at the
University of Denver.  A recording from a recent performance is below.
