Melissa E. Weidner was appointed Director of Music Ministries in August 2007. Her credentials include a bachelor's degree in music theory from the University of Oregon and a master's degree in sacred music from The Catholic University of America.
Weidner has participated in organ master classes with William Porter, Wolfgang Zerer, Carole Terry, and Adrian Lucas. Private instructors in organ include Barbara Baird and Robert Grogan. Conducting studies were under Shannon Chase, Leo Nestor,

For the past seven years, Weidner has been directing parish choral ensembles. Before coming to Denver, she served at parishes in California, Oregon, and Washington, D.C.
In her free time, she enjoys playing carillon, and may be heard occasionally playing the 65-bell Williams Carillon at the University of Denver. Performance dates and times are displayed on the Music Ministry Events calendar. Two recordings from a recent performance are below.
